Notts County have signed the Chelsea defender Ishe Samuels-Smith on a season-long loan.
Samuels-Smith, 20, can play across the left side of defence and joins the Magpies as they return to League One for the first time since the 2014-15 season, having won promotion from League Two by beating Salford City in May's play-off final.
The 20-year-old featured six times in the Championship on loan at Swansea City last season, before Chelsea took him back on a permanent deal from their sister club Strasbourg. He came through Everton's academy before joining Chelsea in 2023, and is an England Under-20 international.
"Ishe is a talented young player who is capable of contributing in both attacking and defensive phases," Notts County director of football Richard Montague said.
