Millwall's promotion push suffered a damaging setback as Norwich recovered from a goal down to win 2-1 after a game that turned on two half-time substitutions. Alex Neil sent on Mihailo Ivanovic after a flat first half from the home side, and the striker repaid him by heading Millwall in front in the 56th minute.
Norwich, though, found even greater impact from Philippe Clement's interval change. Mohamed Touré helped reshape the visitors' attack, Pelle Mattsson levelled with a superb first-time strike from 20 yards, and Touré then supplied fellow substitute Oscar Schwartau for the 76th-minute winner. The result gave Norwich their seventh away league win in nine matches and kept their slim play-off hopes alive, while Millwall were left to absorb a blow to their own promotion ambitions.
Norwich's early pressure goes unrewarded
Norwich were the sharper side from the opening whistle and nearly settled the contest's tone inside a minute when Anis Ben Slimane saw a shot deflected wide. Mathias Kvistgaarden and Ali Ahmed also had efforts blocked as Millwall's defenders repeatedly threw themselves in front of the ball, and when Ben Slimane eventually found a clearer route through, Anthony Patterson dealt with the attempt comfortably.
