Norwich City beat Birmingham City 2-1 at Carrow Road on Wednesday night, with first-half goals from Oscar Schwartau and Papa Diallo handing the visitors their first Championship defeat of the season.
Schwartau opened the scoring in the 27th minute with a long-range drive that came against the run of play, and Diallo doubled the lead in the 38th. Carlos Vicente pulled one back for Birmingham in the 63rd, but Norwich held on.
It was a third league win in four games for Philippe Clement's side, who had been second best for much of an opening half in which a Birmingham goal was ruled out for offside.
