Kelly N'Mai's late goal earned promotion-chasing Salford City a hard-fought 2-1 win at Barrow, the forward rounding off a sweeping move with a smart left-footed finish to add to the assist he provided for the visitors' first-half opener.
Dan Udoh had put Karl Robinson's side in front before Isaac Fletcher hauled Barrow level, but the hosts' inability to take their chances ultimately left them on the wrong end of the result. Salford are now 11 EFL games unbeaten against their Cumbrian hosts.
Trading Blows Before the Break
Salford struck first in the 11th minute when Udoh turned in N'Mai's cross to put the promotion chasers ahead. The lead lasted barely nine minutes, however, as Isaac Fletcher headed in a 20th-minute equaliser from Ben Whitfield's delivery for his fourth goal of the season and his second in successive festive games.
