Nick Powell has signed a new one-year contract to stay at Bradford City for the 2026-27 season.
The 32-year-old midfielder, a former Manchester United player, joined the Bantams as a free agent from Stockport County in August 2025. A hamstring injury kept him sidelined for six months last season, restricting him to 14 appearances in total, 12 of them in League One, all as a substitute, and two in the domestic cup, in which he scored once.
He has had a prolific pre-season, scoring in friendlies against Halifax Town, SV Gmunden, Preston North End and Salford City, form that helped earn him the chance of a new deal.
Bradford manager Graham Alexander said: "Nick's decision to come back in pre-season and show what he can offer proved his desire to everyone here."
