Elliott Nevitt came off the bench to salvage a last-gasp 1-1 draw for Gillingham and prevent back-to-back league wins for Cheltenham under returning boss Steve Cotterill. The substitute's low drilled effort from just outside the box deep into stoppage time was enough to secure a point for the hosts, who move into third having dominated the majority of the game.
Sam Sherring's header in the 87th minute had looked to have given the Robins all three points, only for Nevitt to level five minutes into added time and complete a dramatic finish at Priestfield.
Gillingham's flying start
The hosts made a flying start and nearly took the lead within the first 30 seconds when Seb Palmer-Houlden's powerful effort required a smart stop from Joe Day.
