Moss and Brown strike as Rochdale win the derby and leave the foot of League Two

Dan Moss and Dajaune Brown scored for Rochdale as they beat Oldham Athletic 2-0 in their Greater Manchester derby on 19 September. Moss opened the scoring in the sixth minute and Brown added the second in the 62nd, lifting Rochdale off the foot of the League Two table.

It was Rochdale's second league win of the season. They had lost four of their first six league games, while Oldham were beaten for the third match running.

Moss Strikes Early

Rochdale were in front almost at once. Charlie Tasker and Jonny Smith worked the ball up the right flank, Tasker slid a low ball in behind a backpedalling Oldham defence, and Moss finished it off with a sweep high into the net.
