Oldham centre-back Manny Monthe's first goal of the season consigned troubled Harrogate Town to a sixth straight defeat as the Latics secured a 1-0 win at the Sulphurites' expense.
The result extended Harrogate's losing streak to the longest of Simon Weaver's 16-and-a-half-year reign as manager, and Oldham achieved it despite finishing with 10 men after a 79th-minute red card for midfielder Ryan Woods.
A Costly Miss and a Set-Piece Breakthrough
Harrogate had the first clear sight of goal in the fifth minute when Jack Muldoon sent Shawn McCoulsky clear, but the home striker wastefully scuffed his effort wide to spurn a gilt-edged opportunity.
