Mohamed Toure hat-trick sinks Bristol City as Norwich roar back to win 4-2

· Match Report

Mohamed Toure scored a second-half hat-trick as Norwich City came from behind to beat Bristol City 4-2 at Ashton Gate, ending Roy Hodgson's unbeaten start as interim head coach of the Robins in his fourth game in charge.

The home side led inside two minutes through Sam Morsy, but a remarkable turnaround saw Toure strike three times in 25 minutes before Jose Cordoba added a fourth. Sam Bell pulled one back in stoppage time, but it was only a consolation on an afternoon of bright sunshine that turned sour for Bristol City.

Morsy strikes early on a bright Ashton Gate afternoon

The two sides went into the match level on points and sitting firmly in mid-table, with very little left to play for this season. But Bristol City did not seem to be thinking of the beach just yet, as Morsy popped up inside two minutes. The former Ipswich midfielder moved unchallenged on to a square pass from Jason Knight and hit a sweet right-footed shot low past Vladan Kovacevic from just outside the box for his first goal since arriving at Ashton Gate in January.
