An early own goal from right-back Kayne Ramsay set the tone, before a late surge featuring goals from Caleb Taylor, Luke Cundle and substitute Aidomo Emakhu turned control into a thumping scoreline and secured a fourth victory in six league games for Alex Neil's side.
For Charlton, it was a grim afternoon in which they never fully recovered from Ramsay's early misfortune and struggled badly to contain Millwall's threat from wide areas.
