Millwall beat Cambridge United 1-0 at the Cledara Abbey Stadium in round three of the League Cup, eliminating the hosts from the competition and sending the visitors through to the next round.
Jake Cooper opened the scoring for Millwall in the 8th minute, and the visitors held out for the remainder of the match to progress.
Cambridge United had both of the match's bookings: Patrick Bauer, cautioned for a foul in the 49th minute, was withdrawn through injury five minutes later and replaced by Callum Perry, while Glenn McConnell was shown a yellow card in the 86th minute. No player was sent off.
Millwall used all five of their substitutes, including a four-change spell between the 62nd and 69th minutes that brought on Mark Sykes, Jenson Metcalfe, Camiel Neghli and Zak Sturge. Cambridge United also used all five of theirs, from Louis Appéré's introduction for Gassan Ahadme at half-time to Lohan McDougald's introduction for Isaac Heath in the 88th minute.
