Celtic's momentum under interim boss Martin O'Neill came to a shuddering halt as Europa League leaders Midtjylland taught them a lesson in eight dreadful first-half minutes in Denmark, running out 3-1 winners.
After perfect starts to life back at Celtic in a home league win over Falkirk and a League Cup semi-final victory against Rangers, O'Neill was handed a reality check by a Midtjylland side already on a 12-game unbeaten run and now four wins from four in the Europa League.
Eight Minutes That Broke Celtic
By the time Martin Erlic nodded in the opener in the 33rd minute, Midtjylland could have been out of sight, such was their dominance. Their deserved advantage was doubled within 100 seconds as Mikel Kruger-Johnsen escaped the attentions of the Celtic defence and sumptuously lifted a stunning finish into the far corner.
