MK Dons maintained their unbeaten start to the League Two season by fighting back from a goal down to win 2-1 at battling Newport County, with two former Cardiff City players providing the goals in south Wales.
Paul Warne's promotion hopefuls trailed early at Rodney Parade after Habeeb Ogunneye's sixth-minute cross-shot, but a contentious stroke-of-half-time penalty and a Callum Paterson header turned the contest the visitors' way.
Exiles Strike First
Newport gave themselves early hope when Manchester United summer loan signing Habeeb Ogunneye hit home from a tricky angle in the sixth minute. BBC Sport reported the goal came off an assist from fellow loan recruit Ben Lloyd, the Swansea City man, while Sky Sports described the cross-shot as being fumbled into the net by Dons goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray.
