Veteran striker David McGoldrick ended his 16-game wait for a league goal in the most dramatic fashion, scoring a double that included a last-minute winner as Barnsley edged Blackpool 2-1.
The 38-year-old opened the scoring for the Reds in the first half, but former Barnsley striker Ashley Fletcher levelled for Blackpool in the second half before McGoldrick struck again in added time to settle a tight contest.
McGoldrick Punishes a Costly Error
Blackpool fashioned the game's first real chance in the 23rd minute, but Tom Bloxham was denied brilliantly from close range by debutant goalkeeper Owen Goodman.
