Markanday strikes two minutes after Fawunmi's leveller as Chesterfield end Oldham's perfect home start

Chesterfield ended Oldham Athletic's 100 per cent home record with a 2-1 win at Boundary Park, Dilan Markanday's close-range finish two minutes after Oldham had levelled settling a League Two match in which Lee Bonis's penalty rebound had given the visitors an early lead.

The visitors were in front in the 17th minute. Louie Marsh's shot struck the hand of Gus Scott-Morriss, a penalty was given, and Mat Hudson saved the spot-kick, but Lee Bonis was alert to the loose ball and turned it in for 1-0, the lead Chesterfield took into the break.

Oldham drew level in the 49th minute. Jamie Robson delivered from the left and Favour Fawunmi, scoring his first goal for the club, met the cross with a free header.

The equaliser did not last. Chesterfield were back in front in the 51st minute when Markanday finished from close range, securing the visitors' first win in four games.
