Dilan Markanday scored the winner in a top-seven decider as Chesterfield secured a League Two play-off spot with a 2-1 victory over Swindon Town, ending the hosts' promotion hopes.
The visitors should have led inside the opening minutes when Lewis Gordon found Markanday, only for the forward to skied his effort. The early let-off proved costly for Swindon as Chesterfield went on to take control.
