Marc Bola signs new Watford deal until 2030

Watford defender Marc Bola has signed a new three-year contract, extending his stay at Vicarage Road until June 2030.

The 28-year-old left-back joined Watford on a free transfer from Turkish side Samsunspor last summer and was a near ever-present in his first season at the club, making 39 appearances in all competitions, 37 of them in the Championship, where he scored twice.

He opened the new campaign in style too, his stoppage-time strike from 25 yards clinching a 1-0 win over League Two side Crawley Town in the Carabao Cup, the winning goal on Alessio Dionisi's first match in charge as Watford head coach.

"There's still a lot to be done, both personally and as a team, and I'm willing to give 100 per cent in whatever I'm asked to do," Bola told the club website. "I'm fully committed and I can't wait for the Championship season to start."
