A drab second successive home 0-0 draw extended Mansfield's unbeaten run to nine games as they laboured to find a way through a stubborn Exeter side.
The Grecians shaded the early exchanges before Mansfield grew into the contest after the break, but neither side could find the breakthrough on an afternoon of half-chances and fine goalkeeping.
Tutierov Sets the Early Tempo
Exeter had the best of the early chances with Timur Tutierov involved in most of them. His deflected shot forced debutant goalkeeper Harry Lewis into a good save to his left in the 15th minute.
