Lukébakio and Kaminski sink Milan as Benfica open their Europa League campaign with a 2-0 win at San Siro

· Match Report

Benfica beat Milan 2-0 at San Siro on Wednesday night, with Dodi Lukébakio and Jakub Kaminski scoring either side of half-time to give Marco Silva's side a winning start to their Europa League campaign.

Lukébakio opened the scoring in the 15th minute, collecting Kaminski's pass on the right, cutting inside and bending a shot into the far corner. Kaminski made it two in the 52nd minute, finishing from six yards after a low cross from Souffian El Karouani.

The defeat came in Milan's first European match after a year out of the competition, and left Ruben Amorim's side without a win in three games, after draws against Juventus and Lazio in Serie A. Silva, meanwhile, got one over the former Manchester United boss, who joined Milan in June.
