Shrewsbury Town won away from home for the first time this season, beating Grimsby Town 2-1 in League Two with goals from George Lloyd and Kian McMahon-Brown either side of half-time.
Finlay Cartwright's first goal for Grimsby came in the 74th minute, but it was only a consolation for a side that had 63% of the possession and 21 shots.
Lloyd and McMahon-Brown Strike
Grimsby threatened early, Charles Vernam running through on goal only for Will Brook to save, and the rebound fell to Harvey Rodgers without result. Shrewsbury took the lead in the 18th minute through Lloyd, a former Grimsby loanee, who got the final touch after a corner was headed into his path.
