Tommy Leigh scored in the 31st minute as Bristol Rovers beat Rotherham United 1-0 in League Two on 5 September, handing manager Steve Evans a win over the club where he won back-to-back promotions between 2012 and 2014.
It was Rovers' fourth league win in five games this season and their third at home, taking them to 12 points. Rotherham, who drew 2-2 at Tranmere Rovers four days earlier, have five points from their five matches.
Leigh Makes the Difference
Leigh created the breakthrough and then finished it. He lifted the ball over the Rotherham defence to send winger Bobby Kamwa away down the left, and Kamwa cut into the box and shot at Ted Cann's near post. The ball came back off the goalkeeper and Leigh slotted it in from just inside the area.
