Leicester Hold On In Seven-Goal Stockport Thriller

· Match Report

Leicester City held on for a 4-3 win at Stockport County, a seven-goal League One thriller that eased the pressure on manager Russell Martin after the previous week's 4-0 defeat by Oxford United.

Liam Cullen put the visitors ahead in the 10th minute, Emil Riis scored twice and John Lundstram headed in on his debut to make it 4-1 after 51 minutes. Stockport, who began the day third in the table, hauled it back to 4-3 through Oliver Norwood and Kyle Wootton inside five minutes, but could not find an equaliser.

It was only Leicester's second league win of the season. Stockport now have three wins and three defeats from their opening six games.
