Leeds were quickly on the front foot. Lukas Nmecha turned home a loose ball inside the area after Daniel Grimshaw and Ruairi McConville failed to deal with Jaka Bijol's delivery, only for VAR to intervene and rule out the goal for a handball by Wilfried Gnonto in the build-up.
