Bromley maintained their two-point advantage at the summit of League Two with a 2-1 win over struggling Newport County at Hayes Lane.
The contrast between the sides was stark going into the game, with Bromley having lost only four matches all season while Newport had won only four times and sat 23rd in the table.
Fortuitous Opener Before the Break
Two minutes into first-half added time, the home side edged ahead in fortuitous fashion. Jude Arthurs headed against the base of a post from a free-kick and, as Michael Cheek reacted to the rebound, his powerful effort was deflected into the net by Courtney Baker-Richardson for an own goal.
