Enzo Le Fée converted the penalty that earned Sunderland a 1-1 draw at Brentford, scoring in the 81st minute after Keane Lewis-Potter was penalised for holding substitute Wilson Isidor.
Vitaly Janelt had put Brentford ahead in the 56th minute with a shot into the top corner, after a triple half-time change from Keith Andrews turned a game Sunderland had controlled before the break. The point leaves Brentford unbeaten after three league games and Sunderland with a win, a draw and a defeat from theirs.
It was a moment of redemption for Le Fée, who missed a penalty in this fixture in January with a failed Panenka. This time he kept it simple, sending Caoimhin Kelleher the wrong way and placing the ball into the bottom right corner.
