Lavery and Kouassi Fire Cambridge Past Bromley in Disrupted Affair

· Match Report

Shayne Lavery and Kylian Kouassi were both on target in a strong first half as Cambridge returned to winning ways with a narrow 2-1 League Two victory over Bromley.

A blistering start put the U's in command, and although Michael Cheek pulled a goal back early in the second half, the hosts dug in through a chaotic finish to claim maximum points.

A Lightning Start

Cambridge took the lead inside two minutes when Sullay Kaikai's free-kick fell to Lavery, after he had initially teed up Kouassi, and the Northern Ireland international's shot was diverted in.
