Jack Lankester scored twice inside the opening 20 minutes as unbeaten Crewe Alexandra beat Bristol Rovers 3-1 in League Two, a result that lifted them to third in the table.
Jordan Gibson added a third from the bench in the 65th minute, and Bobby Kamwa's long-range strike in the 91st was all Rovers had to show for a second-half improvement. Rovers manager Steve Evans watched from the stand while serving a touchline ban.
Lankester Strikes Early
Crewe were ahead within the first minute. Tabiner found Lankester, who moved infield from the right and curled a shot into the far corner. Rovers responded quickly, Ciarán Kelly hitting the underside of the crossbar from a scramble in the home box.
