Charlie Lakin scored twice in the second half as Barnet came from behind to beat Accrington Stanley 2-1 at the Hive on Saturday, extending their unbeaten start to the League Two season to six games.
Charlie Caton had given the visitors the lead in the 26th minute, but Lakin levelled in the 56th and put Barnet in front in the 71st. Two minutes later Accrington's Devon Matthews was sent off for a second yellow card, and the hosts held on. Barnet had been held 3-3 at Chesterfield the Saturday before; Accrington, beaten here, had won 3-2 against Crawley Town a week earlier.
Caton Lobs Cox to Put Accrington Ahead
Accrington were the first to threaten. Captain Shaun Whalley drove low towards the far post and Matthew Cox saved well, then Matthews headed the resulting corner wide. Caton broke the deadlock in the 26th minute with a lob over Cox.
