LAFC have signed the Bayern Munich forward Armindo Sieb on a permanent transfer, with the deal running through the 2028-29 MLS season and the Bundesliga club retaining an option to extend it by a further year to 2029-30.
Sieb joins the Los Angeles club after two seasons on loan at Mainz, where he scored five goals and added three assists in 62 appearances across all competitions. He also spent two seasons at Greuther Furth in Germany's second tier, scoring 17 goals and providing four assists in 66 games. The 23-year-old forward has represented Germany from under-16 level through to under-21.
LAFC's president of soccer operations, John Thorrington, said: "Armindo is an exciting young player whose technical ability, pace, and attacking prowess will add another dimension to our attack. He has already gained valuable experience at a young age in one of the world's top footballing environments and has consistently demonstrated the qualities we value in our players." Thorrington added: "We are excited to welcome Armindo to Los Angeles and believe he will play an important role in our pursuit of championships."
The signing comes with LAFC second in the MLS Western Conference on 34 points from 19 games. The club are also chasing a place in the knockout rounds of the 2026 Leagues Cup, sitting third in their group ahead of Thursday's results involving Austin FC and Chicago Fire FC.
