Lacroix and Guessand send Palace past Zrinjski into Conference League last 16

— Match Report

Crystal Palace eased into the Conference League last 16 with a 2-0 win over Zrinjski Mostar at Selhurst Park, completing a 3-1 aggregate victory after last week's 1-1 draw in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Maxence Lacroix's first-half header and a late strike from Evann Guessand carried Oliver Glasner's side through in their first major European campaign.

Palace, who were demoted to the Conference League from the Europa League after winning the FA Cup last season, will discover their last-16 opponents in Friday's draw at Uefa's headquarters in Nyon, with either Mainz or AEK Larnaca standing in their way.

Wharton's set-piece quality breaks the deadlock

The hosts laboured in the early exchanges against a well-organised Bosnian side managed by the former Derby defender Igor Stimac. Jorgen Strand Larsen's shot was deflected wide in the fifth minute, and a mix-up between goalkeeper Goran Karacic and Igor Savic offered Guessand an opening before Savic recovered to block Daichi Kamada's goalbound effort.
