Rotherham United were relegated to League Two after a comprehensive 3-0 defeat at Wigan Athletic, the result confirming their drop while moving the hosts a step closer to securing their League One status for next season.
Goals from Jason Kerr, Joe Taylor and Callum Wright at the Brick Community Stadium sealed Wigan's third straight win and left them eight points above the relegation zone with just three games of their campaign remaining. Lee Clark's side, by contrast, will play in the fourth tier of English football for the first time since 2012-13.
Kerr Heads the Hosts Ahead
Wigan were comfortable for most of the evening and opened the scoring in the 14th minute when captain Kerr headed home from close range.
