Augustus Kargbo stepped off the bench to score his first Blackburn Rovers goal and earn a 1-1 draw against Stoke City, denying Mark Robins' side a much-needed win after they had led through Million Manhoef's deflected strike early in the second half.
The Sierra Leone international, under heavy criticism after his role in Swansea's winner in midweek, lashed home eight minutes from time after excellent work from Todd Cantwell, then came within a whisker of completing the turnaround when a late effort at the back post came back off the woodwork as both sides had to settle for a point.
Stoke had dominated large spells, particularly either side of half-time, and carved out several opportunities to extend their lead, only to be denied by Balazs Toth's goalkeeping, last-ditch Blackburn defending and their own wayward finishing. The draw leaves Stoke winless in four Championship games, though they remain third in the table, while Rovers at least halted a run of two straight defeats.
