West Ham came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Millwall in the first Dockers Derby for more than 14 years, with Mohamadou Kanté and Konstantinos Mavropanos wiping out a half-time deficit before Kanté was sent off in the closing minutes.
Caleb Taylor put the hosts ahead in the 15th minute and Camiel Neghli doubled the lead in first-half stoppage time, both finishing from close range after long throws from Lyndon Dykes unsettled the visitors. West Ham, who arrived top of the Championship in search of a fifth straight win, were barely in the contest before the break.
The afternoon was also shadowed by an allegation that West Ham forward Taty Castellanos spat at Millwall goalkeeper Filip Marschall, a claim Millwall have taken to the match officials.
