Jordan James's injury-time header secured a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory for Leicester City at Norwich City, denying the Canaries a first home point and plunging them deeper into Championship trouble. Mathias Kvistgaarden had given Norwich hope with a second-half opener, only for substitute Bobby De Cordova-Reid to equalise before James struck in the 92nd minute.
The result gave Leicester only their second win in 11 league games, and their first in six, easing some of the scrutiny on head coach Marti Cifuentes after a difficult run. For Norwich, however, it was an eighth successive home defeat and an 11th league game without a win, leaving them second from bottom and prompting furious protests against the club's hierarchy. Cagey first half exposes both sides' lack of cutting edge
Both teams came into the contest badly out of form and it showed in a scrappy, low-quality first half. Norwich almost snatched an early breakthrough in the 13th minute when Kenny McLean's cross caused panic in the Leicester box, ricocheting off Ben Nelson and James and threatening to creep over the line. Veteran goalkeeper Asmir Begovic and defender Caleb Okoli combined at the last moment to prevent what would have been an own goal, a reprieve that summed up the Foxes' jittery start.
