Nottingham Forest powered into the Europa League playoff round with a one-sided 4-0 victory over the Hungarian champions Ferencvaros at the City Ground, Igor Jesus scoring twice to cap an impressive few days for Sean Dyche's side.
The convincing win was not quite enough to send Forest straight into the round of 16 because of results elsewhere, but it ended Ferencvaros's unbeaten record in the competition and their hopes of a top-eight finish. James McAtee completed the scoring from the penalty spot to round off a confidence-boosting evening.
An early warning, quickly forgotten
Ferencvaros were second best from the moment Kristoffer Zachariassen's sixth-minute header cannoned off the inside of a post, a chance that briefly threatened to give Robbie Keane's side a foothold. Instead it proved to be the visitors' high point as Forest seized control.
