Hull City have signed the Norway Under-21 international Jens Hjerto-Dahl from Tromso on a five-year deal, for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old midfielder is the Eliteserien's joint-second highest scorer midway through the Norwegian season, which runs into November, with seven goals in 14 games. He brings European experience to Hull, having featured in Europa League and Europa Conference League qualifying with Tromso.
Hjerto-Dahl is Hull's sixth signing of the summer transfer window and will join fellow new arrivals Oscar Zambrano and Hidemasa Morita in Sergej Jakirovic's midfield. Goalkeepers Jack Butland and Konstantinos Tzolakis and left-back Matt Targett have also moved to the Tigers this summer, as the club rebuilds for a return to the Premier League after a nine-year absence sealed by victory in May's Championship play-off final.
"I'm very happy. It's a massive club and I'm really looking forward to playing here," Hjerto-Dahl said. "I needed a challenge and this is the biggest challenge you can get. I think this is the right step and that Hull can help me improve."
