Northampton recorded a second successive win after a 1-0 triumph at Leyton Orient in League One, with a second-half strike from captain Sam Hoskins proving to be the difference in a game where the visitors had the edge.
The Cobblers started strongly and had the bulk of play for the majority of the first half, but it took until just before the hour mark for them to find the breakthrough that ultimately settled the contest.
Early Exchanges and a Visiting Grip
Despite Northampton's bright start, the first clear opening fell to the hosts when Orient forward Diallang Jaiyesimi forced Lee Burge to block his acute-angled shot after 11 minutes.
