A stoppage-time effort from Matus Holicek earned Crewe a vital 2-1 win over play-off rivals Oldham at a wind-lashed Mornflake Stadium.
Kane Drummond had fired the Latics ahead before Reece Hutchinson levelled with a stunning first-half strike. Holicek then struck a minute into added time to end Oldham's 10-game unbeaten run and move Crewe up to seventh.
Bright Visitors Strike First
Oldham started brightly and Mike Fondop almost embarrassed James Connolly when latching onto a long ball, only to poke his effort over. At the other end, Josh March drove Emre Tezgel's cross past the post before Jack Lankester failed to test keeper Mathew Hudson after Tommi O'Reilly played the attacker clear.
