Ellis Harrison's first goal since returning to Bristol Rovers was enough to give the Gas a first win since March as they hung on for a 1-0 victory over 10-man Cambridge United at the Memorial Stadium.
Harrison, back at the Memorial Stadium after being released by MK Dons over the summer, sent the home fans wild when he put Darrell Clarke's side ahead in the 34th minute, volleying in after skipper Alfie Kilgour headed on Macauley Southam-Hales' long throw.
A Returning Striker Makes the Difference
The goal owed much to a well-worked set-piece, with Southam-Hales' long throw causing chaos and Kilgour's knockdown teeing up Harrison to find the net and spark celebrations among the home support.
