Oxford United beat Leicester City 4-0 in League One on Saturday, Mark Harris scoring twice and Mo Missanga and Jamie McDonnell adding one apiece in a result that heaps fresh pressure on Leicester manager Russell Martin.
It was the heaviest defeat Leicester have suffered in the third tier, and it arrived days after their first league win of the season, a 2-0 midweek victory over Plymouth Argyle. Having looked good against Plymouth, they were taken apart in a second half in which Oxford scored three times in 20 minutes.
Harris Strikes Early
Harris put Oxford ahead on seven minutes, meeting a cross from Missanga unopposed. The ball appeared to brush Harris's arm on its way over the line, and the officials' view of the finish was questionable, but the marking that allowed the cross and the finish was no better.
