Reading ended their League One campaign on a sour note as their late-season drop in form continued with a 1-0 defeat at home to Blackpool.
With nothing riding on the result, neither side showed much creativity in a predictably low-key opening, and it took a CJ Hamilton strike in the 75th minute to settle a forgettable contest.
A Forgettable First Half
In a poor first half, the most notable moments were fine saves from home goalkeeper Joel Pereira. In a sudden burst of brilliance, Blackpool almost went in front when Karoy Anderson's fierce 20-yard attempt was superbly tipped over by Pereira.
