Blackpool won 3-1 away at Grimsby Town in the first round of the League Cup, played at Blundell Park.
Niall Ennis put Blackpool ahead in the 2nd minute. Blackpool made an enforced substitution in the 32nd minute, sending on Kylian Kouassi for Ilmari Niskanen.
Jordan Williams was booked for a foul in the 54th minute, before Josh Bowler doubled Blackpool's lead in the 57th.
Harvey Rodgers pulled a goal back for Grimsby Town in the 91st minute. Kouassi, on since the first half, restored Blackpool's two-goal margin in the 94th; Ennis, Blackpool's opening scorer, had himself been substituted in the 81st minute.
