Grimmer Strikes At The Death As Wycombe Edge Five-Goal Thriller

· Match Report

Wycombe Wanderers edged a five-goal thriller against high-flying Lincoln City thanks to a last-minute winner from captain Jack Grimmer. In a contest that always felt like it had another goal in it, the Chairboys recovered a two-goal lead they had surrendered to seal victory at the death.

Sam Bell's first-half brace gave Wycombe control before Lincoln roared back through Justin Obikwu and substitute Freddie Draper. With a grandstand finish set up, Grimmer settled it from a deep corner to deny the visitors a point.

Bell's Double Puts Wycombe In Command

The home side took the lead just after the 15-minute mark when a wonderful pass from Cauley Woodrow found Daniel Harvie free on the left. Harvie drove forward and played in Bell, who slotted the ball through George Wickens' legs.
