A calamitous own goal by Wycombe Wanderers captain Jack Grimmer gave Exeter City a 1-0 win at Adams Park, deepening the home side's troubles in front of their own supporters.
The Chairboys went into the contest with no wins in their last six league outings, their most recent triumph having come against Bolton back in April. They made three changes to the team that drew against Doncaster on Saturday, but it was the Grecians who looked more promising going forward.
