York City beat Gillingham 3-0 in League Two on Saturday, Joe Grey scoring in the first minute before Jovan Malcolm and Ollie Pearce struck after the visitors had been reduced to ten men.
It was York's fourth win from four home league games this season and lifted them to fourth in the table on 14 points from eight matches. Gillingham, who had won their previous three league games and scored nine in doing so, sit eighth on 12.

York could hardly have made a faster start. Pearce whipped an inswinging cross towards the far post, where Grey's scuffed finish bounced once and looped over goalkeeper Oliver Wright.
