Ryan Graydon scored the only goal as Salford climbed to second in League Two with a battling 1-0 win over struggling Bristol Rovers.
The hosts began the game on the front foot and went close to opening the scoring after five minutes when Kelly N'mai blazed over the bar. Bristol Rovers failed to heed the early warning and fell behind three minutes later when Graydon coolly lifted the ball over onrushing goalkeeper Brad Young to give Salford a deserved lead.
Graydon's Cool Finish Punishes Slow Start
The Irish striker should have doubled Salford's advantage midway through the half, firing at Young from close range with the goal at his mercy.
