Glatzel signs new Swindon Town contract to 2029

Swindon Town forward Paul Glatzel has signed a new contract with the League Two club, extending his stay until the summer of 2029.

Glatzel joined Swindon from Liverpool's academy in January 2024 and has made 92 appearances for the club, scoring 17 goals and adding 14 assists.

He ruptured his hamstring during a win at Cheltenham Town in December and had surgery, an injury that ended his involvement for the rest of last season. "He's such a wonderful bloke and he works his socks off. To see him that down I think the lads really dug in, that really does hurt," manager Ian Holloway said at the time.

Glatzel has returned to full fitness for the new campaign, scoring twice in a pre-season friendly against Forest Green Rovers and again in Swindon's 3-2 Carabao Cup defeat at Cardiff City last week.
