Peterborough United claimed their first win of the League One season with a 2-1 victory over Wycombe Wanderers, first-half goals from recent additions Matthew Garbett and Jimmy-Jay Morgan proving enough to secure all three points for the Posh.
Fred Onyedinma pulled one back for the visitors soon after the restart and Wycombe pushed hard for an equaliser, but the hosts held on. Despite the win, Darren Ferguson's men remain at the foot of the table, while Wycombe are still in 19th place.
Newcomers Set the Tone
The first chance of the game fell to Onyedinma, whose shot was well saved by Alex Bass after the ball was threaded through by Sam Bell. But it was Peterborough who took the lead in the 21st minute, when Garbett fired home superbly from distance for his first goal for the club.
