Ipswich Town came from behind to win 3-2 at 10-man Crystal Palace, Zian Flemming scrambling in a late winner at Selhurst Park to give the newly promoted side their second Premier League victory in four games. It was Ipswich's first away win in the top flight since April 2025.
Anan Khalaili had given Palace the lead, Axel Disasi's red card turned the match, and Jørgen Strand Larsen levelled for the hosts before Flemming had the last word in the 89th minute. For Palace it was a third defeat in four league games and a second straight home loss to open a season, something that last happened in 2018.
Palace Strike First, Ipswich Answer Fast
Ipswich nearly handed Palace a start. Goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen played a pass straight to Adam Wharton, the home side's stand-in captain, who scuffed his shot with the goal gaping. Khalaili made them pay for the visitors' sloppiness in the 13th minute, taking Daichi Kamada's pass and drilling in his first goal for the club, with a deflection off Leif Davis helping it past Scherpen.
