Five-Star Peterborough Crush AFC Wimbledon on Williams' Bow

· Match Report

Peterborough United marked Luke Williams' first league match in charge in emphatic fashion, hammering AFC Wimbledon 5-0 at London Road. Substitute Gustav Lindgren scored his first league goals since April to round off a ruthless afternoon for the hosts.

Harry Leonard struck twice inside the opening quarter of an hour and Kyrell Lisbie added a third before the break, leaving Wimbledon well beaten as their losing run extended to three games in all competitions.

Leonard's Lightning Double

Dangerman Harry Leonard set the hosts on their way in the 10th minute, stroking home Peter Kioso's pin-point cross. Five minutes later the sprightly 22-year-old was hauled down by Isaac Ogundere in the box and stepped up to fire home a powerful penalty.
